I went to school last week. i had been 2 months since I saw may friends last. It was so exciting for me, because school started new school life. I made a timetable with my friend. I chosen many classes interesting. I want to enjoy 2nd school life, play with my friend, part time job, and love!!

Hello, I’m Ai. Please call me “Ai”. I’m nineteen years old. I go to KGU. I belong to English and American studies department. I like to learn English. When I was a high school student, I decided to major in English. I want to learn more deeply. I want to come to speak English well. Please tell me a lot of things.

My hobby is shopping, because I like fashion. I often go shopping with my friends or boyfriend, and look for clothes. I spend a lot of time to go shopping, going to cafes, or on a drive, on the weekend. If you come to Kumamoto, I’ll take you to my favorite café. I want to visit cafe in America too!! Please take me.

Also, I like to listening music. My favorite artists are “The Beatles”, “REDHOTCHILIPEPPERS”, and “Lady Gaga”. I have listened to this music since my childhood.

I’ll tell you about my family. I have my parents and two little brothers. My father is an elementary school teacher. He works at Onoue elementary school. His hobby is running. My mother is an office worker. My mother and I are very close. We always talk about love and so on. My brothers play baseball. I like baseball too. I want to go a stadium and watch major league game. Do you like baseball? If you like it, I want you to take me stadium.

Do you like Japanese food? I can cook Japanese dishes, so I want to cook for you! I have a lot of things that I want to do in America. I want to make foreign friends, because I think they will become my teachers of English and university life. I want to spend good school days, with friends.

This is my first visit to America. I’m worried about many things. I must get used to English spoken by native speakers. Please tell me about American culture and manners. I want to learn about American life style and culture. I am a little anxious, but I hope to spend a good time in America.

Journal I

           I’ll talk about how to play “monopoly”. This is my favorite board game. First, I explain about this game’s tools. This game use paper moneys, title deeds, articles, chance cards, joint fund cards, and two dices. Next, choose banker, and banker deal paper moneys, $1, $5, $10 each 5pieces, $20, 6pieces, $50, $100, $500, each 2pieces. After that, throw the dice, and decide the order. Coming your turn, you throw two dices and advancing your piece clockwise around the board number of squares. You stop the square, you have to obey the square’s direction. If your dice show matching dice, you can throw the dice again, but you throw matching dice three times, you must go jail! This is one turn, and coming next person’s order. You pass the square of GO, you can get $200 from bank.

          Next, I explain about property. There are color groups 8kinds of 22places, railroad company 4places, public company 2places. If you stop these places, you can buy a title deed. When you don’t buy, the property is sold by auction. In case that another player has bought it already, you are collected rental fee. Complete same color group land, you become “monopoly”, and you can build houses and hotels. If you build houses and hotels, you can get rental fee by other players more high.

Finally, I explain about chance and joint fond. Stop these square, you draw a card on the top. You have to show the card everyone, and you have to obey the card’s direction. When you cannot to pay rental fee and income tax, you become game over!

          I want everyone to know “monopoly”, because this game is very exciting!!!! Let’s play Monopoly with me!

          I will tell about an experience that made me feel proud. I traveled to Tokyo by myself. It was my first travel by myself. I went to Tokyo for shopping and sightseeing last year. I went to Shinjuku, Harajuku, Omotesando, Shimokitazawa, and Tokyo soramachi.

This travel was all of first experience for me. I was worried about change of train and subway, but I could change the train thanks for iPhone's application. It was very useful for tourist because the transfer of the train of Tokyo is difficult. I was glad that I could change the train by myself, and I gained confidence.

          First, I went to Harajuku by yamanote line. There are a lot of fashion shop. I was so excited because I had never been to Harajuku and there ware a lot of shop I had never been to. There ware many stylish people, and reader model in Harajuku. I enjoyed shopping so much. After that, I went to Omotesando. I went to cafe, and I ate pancake. It was so delicious and cute! I felt happy :D

          Next day, I went to Shimokitazawa. It was the first time visited to there. I went to cafe “CITY COUNTRY CITY”. The cafe runs my favorite musician. I wished that I want to go there many years ago. I met him in this cafe. I was so happy!! I took a picture with him. I promised that I go to him live again! After that, I went to Sky Tree and tokyo soramachi. Then, there ware many people because the Sky Tree was just completed. It was too tall to see the top in front of there.

         I enjoyed this travel, but I felt sad at night alone. I understood the value of the family.

I respect to my mother Akiko. She loved by my father (her husband), my brothers, and me. I respect to her as a woman, as a mother, as a worker, as a person. I am proud that I am her daughter. She is a considerate woman. She is always anxious about family though she is busy with work. She gets up in the earliest in my family, and prepares breakfast. After the breakfast, she makes lunch for my brother, and me. She spends much time for family. She uses time very well.

She is my good understanding person. When I was a high school student, I was worried about my course. I was tired because I couldn’t decide my course.

One of my friends is negative person. She is too angry and selfish. For example, when I was late for wait for only 5 minutes, she was so angry that she ignored me. However, when she was late for wait for 30 minutes, she didn’t apologize to me. I felt sad and displeased. I think that she is selfish! I didn’t understand her attitude, because she was too angry for me, but she was late for the wait, she didn’t apologize. I hate her personality, because she is strict with a person and generous with herself. I think she is too childish to think about people’s feeling and cannot to considerate act.

 Next, my old friend is really mean. She says only that person hates. She is always finding fault with others. I don't like her personality, because when she opens her mouth, she says only bad things. I feel displeased. I think that I doubt she says slander of me. I don’t like say bad things about slander a person behind her back. I think that if she can understand people’s feeling, she cannot say such a thing. I hope to her not to say mean things of friends.
